Eric is an enthusiastic and experi-enced USPTA Master Tennis Professional, who has been teaching tennis at clubs across the U.S. for the last 13 years. Most recently, Eric was the Regional Director of Tennis & Athletics for ClubCorp, a company that owns and operates over 160 business, tennis and golf clubs throughout America. As Director of Tennis & Athletics at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA, Eric was awarded the USTA’s 2009 Tennis Facility of the Year, which was presented at the USTA National Breakfast during the 2009 US Open.
During his tenure at Mission Hills, the club played host to the 2006 Davis Cup Tie versus Chile, an annual USTA $50k Ladies Challenger event, a Na-tional USTA sanctioned Wheelchair tournament, as well as the largest USTA Adult Tournament in the U.S. with over 750 participants.
Prior to Mission Hills, Eric worked as a teaching professional, Head Pro and Director at three distinguished clubs in Austin, TX after graduating from the University of Texas in 1997. Eric was a college standout for the Longhorns, achieving Big 12 All-Conference honors, Academic All-American honors, an NCAA National Sportsmanship Award, and two appearances in the NCAA Team Semi-finals. Eric also competed on the USTA Satellite & Challenger circuits for several years getting professional experience against some of the best players in the world.
Eric is passionate about tennis as well as his family and friends. He is married to his wife Lauren and has four beautiful kids named Pey-ton, Sydney, Christian, and Skyler. He loves music, the outdoors, and building relationships in the local community.
