Serving the Community Through World-Class Tennis
For over 30 years, Sun Oaks has hosted professional tennis events that bring rising stars and future champions to our Redding courts. This annual USTA Pro Circuit event supports The Ascension Project — helping local youth earn over $2 million in scholarships while growing as athletes and leaders.
Fans enjoy thrilling matches all week long, while sponsors and donors directly impact the next generation through tennis. This event is open to the public, please come enjoy the Sun Oaks grounds and watch world class tennis with us!
The Ascension Project
The Ascension Project has helped our local youth achieve over $2 million in scholarships, while sending out good people, leaders, and athletes to represent our community around the country.
Who We Are
Over the past 30 years Sun Oaks has hosted professional tennis events right here in Redding. Many Grand Slam players have competed in front of our community and it’s been very exciting to see them on the world stage after watching them compete on our own courts. The rarity in having world class Grand Slam competitors play for our crowds cannot be overstated!
Proceeds from this exciting tournament go towards The Ascension Project, a non-profit organization based out of Sun Oaks that develops junior tennis players in their leadership and character development, physical fitness, and tennis skills.

Schedule of EVENTS
Monday – Matches start at 1:00am
Tuesday – Main Draw begins
Wednesday – Matches starting at 10:00am
Thursday – Matches starting at 10:00am. Evening match with fundraiser dinner beginning at 5:00pm.
Friday – Matches start at 10:00am.
Doubles Semi Final at 6:00pm followed by Singles Quarter Final
Saturday – Doubles Final at 6:00pm followed by Singles Semi-final
Sunday – Singles Final at noon followed by Awards Ceremony
