I’ve called Redding home for the past five years, sharing life with my spouse and our two children. My love for health and fitness started at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years. Fueled by my own commitment to living a vibrant, healthy life, I became an ISSA Elite Trainer, Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach, and ISSA Certified Sports Nutrition Coach.
My true passion lies in working with women, walking alongside them in their wellness journeys. I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, confident, and empowered in her body. Whether it’s navigating pregnancy and postpartum fitness, building strength, or creating lasting healthy habits, I’m dedicated to helping my clients achieve and sustain their goals with encouragement, education, and unwavering support.
About Sarah
Born and raised in Palo Cedro, CA, I’ve always had deep roots in this community. After attending Chico State, I moved back home, got married, started a business with my husband, and we welcomed our daughter into the world in 2009. Sun Oaks has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, I grew up here as a member and began working at the club in 2010.
My career started in Group Fitness when my daughter was a baby, and over time I expanded my role to include Personal Training, TRIBE Team Training coaching, and Marketing Director. I love connecting with our members, building relationships, and helping people reach their health and fitness goals. My own journey has given me the ability to relate to others and walk alongside them as they navigate theirs.
Outside the club, you’ll usually find me outdoors, whether it’s boating on the lake with my family, skiing on Mt. Shasta, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. Being active is what keeps me grounded, energized, and happy, and I love sharing that passion with others.

About Justina
I have been in love with fitness and nutrition since I was young. I played numerous sports and competed in different horseback riding competitions throughout my childhood and well into my adult life. Growing up on a cattle ranch, I got the opportunity to gain experience about the outdoors and the value of cooking with home grown ingredients. Good clean nutrition goes hand in hand with exercise science in creating a healthy and balanced body. As an adult I have always loved to try new workouts and keep exercise fun. I started doing Pilates regularly and I could not believe how strong I felt. After I had my third child, I had a desire to be stronger and feel my best, both physically and mentally. This deepened my love for fitness and nutrition into something new. I started weightlifting and studying as much as I could. I became a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Exercise Therapist. I then became a Certified Pilates and Yoga instructor and a Nutritionist through ISSA. I am currently studying to become a NASM ELITE Trainer. I want to make every client love fitness as I do, and I want them to have the help and knowledge they need to succeed in their goals!
About Mark
I am Mark Parkhurst. I am relatively new to the Redding area. I am an active member of the Tennis community at Sun Oaks. In addition to tennis, I enjoy guiding whitewater rafting trips, downhill skiing and snowshoeing. I am also a musician in a rock band that performs live throughout Northern California. I truly believe a consistent fitness foundation supports the rigorous extracurricular activities we all love to do. It not only helps us perform better but also reduces risk of injury. I enjoy getting to know people and assisting them in developing programs that will help them live life to the fullest.
