WHAT YOGA MEANS TO ME
especially for you from our yoga teachers…..

Mind and Body

Jamie ButtonJamie-“I believe yoga can show us what our bodies are capable of and what we can do to take care of our bodies. Yoga is a practice that allows for individual differences while building a community of acceptance and caring. This workout is all about breathing, moving, stretching, and smiling. Yoga Flow provides accessible yoga sequences while building strength and mindfulness. In class we share a practice that can help you care for your own body and its unique needs.”

Brooke PadillaBrooke – “Balance. Not as in balance poses, but balance for my life and fitness regimen. I am a very happily busy person with two jobs and two children. My other job and classes I teach are high energy. Yoga balances everything out. After a long busy day of thinking and doing, it is wonderful to end it just being. Being in a quiet, warm room with people who love yoga as much as I do. Practicing yoga completely balances my mind and body. When I practice yoga, I think of yoga. Not bills or what the next day holds, just being in that moment. The health benefit at that point is just as important as the benefit for my mind, but secondary. It’s my time to exhale.”

Tasha – “Our culture puts this pressure on us to be more, do more, and have more to finally arrive, which never happens.  While I love having vision and working my ass off to get there, I also don’t want to miss out on the beauty that is present now. Yoga has become a daily retreat for me to practice fully embracing and enjoying my body, movement, emotions, and current situation.  Yoga is my time to just be….and that is always enough.”

We want to share our love of yoga with you!

Thank you to each and every one of you girls! You have taught me all that you know about the healing powers of yoga and because of that I am blessed in being able to “Let IT Go” and “Just Being”.
If it were not for Sun Oaks & the staff I would not have come thru the fire as calm as I am 🙂

am considering starting a Yoga program. my spouse attends the facility thru the Silver Sneakers Program of AARP. I am interested in a beginning Yoga program for myself. Needing some strength and toning as well as some “personal quiet time”!
